Dornumersiel is the gateway to Baltrum. Small, compact, with a family-scale sluice harbour and a fine sandy beach at the bathing area. Crossing to Baltrum is only possible at high tide, so the day's rhythm follows the tide. In the village: the promenade, the "Nordseebad Dornumersiel" family pool, the historical pumping mill. Dogs allowed in marked beach sections. Get there: car or bus 171 from Norden.
