St. Peter-Ording

St. Peter-Ording — locally "SPO" — is famous for its twelve-kilometre-wide sandy beach and the iconic stilt houses standing far out on the horizon. SPO is both a family paradise and a kite-surfing capital — the German kite championships are held here, as is a Beach Volleyball World Tour stop. For quiet, walk north from Ording into the dunes.
